How long did you wait before a decision was made?

I have recently applied for asylum. Does anyone know how long I will have to wait before I get given a decision, I have heard that it can be a really long time. I hope to hear from someone soon. Ibukun

How long for a decision

You should receive an initial decision within 30 days from the date you claimed. You should have been given contact details for your Case Owner - give them a call to check the progress of your application. Calling them won't affect your claim and will give you peace of mind.

I had the same worry, and I called them to check on my application. They were helpful and they offered the service in many languages. Thank you!
